About the BNVA
The Brantford Naval Veterans Associations is a proud Member of the Royal Canadian Naval Association.
In 2010, Canada’s Navy marked its 100th anniversary of service to its country. We at the BNVA honour the past, our fallen comrades, celebrate our achievements and recognize our obligation to Canada.
Who then are the true founders?
In my opinion they are the ones who were in the original Convoy Club and also participated in the above meetings. Most of them are now gone with the odd exception.
The ones I remember are Reg Hall, Percy Fletcher, Herb Cleater, Don Brooks, Don Buttenham, Eric Lee, Des Paul, Bill Mooney, Bert Carruthers, Ed Hussey, Ernie Fish and Gord Stokes.
We continue to be an organization that offers assistance to veterans and navy persons.
Our members have served or have a parent who served in an Allied Naval Force and we celebrate their service and their courage. We honour their past and focus on the future of all Canadians.
